best rental car company EVER!

zipcar is the best rental car company EVER!

for those of you that live in nyc and DON'T own a car (a lot of us out there, i know), zipcar is truly made for the city guy/gal who every now and then needs to escape from all the madness/chaos/crazies.

unlike most rental car companies, zipcar's rates DON'T inflate for the holidays. you do, however, need to reserve in advance for holiday weekends if you want a car near to where you live. you don't have to:

-wait in line for the car -- you call an hour ahead before you pick it up from the garage and jet out of there as soon as you GET there

-rent for a 36 hour period just because you really need the car for 2 1/2 days. you CAN rent by hour OR day

-pay for gas...you do have to pay for miles, though. only 125 per day are included. BUT because you're not paying for gas, you're still SAVING!!!! you get a gascard and don't even have to worry about getting reimbursed.

-have COINS on you for all those mother fucking tolls [on the nj turnpike] because ALL the cars come with ezpass!!!! (you do have to pay for the tolls -- they just get charged to your credit card later). NOR do you have to WAIT IN THOSE FUCKING LINES TO GET BACK INTO THE CITY BECAUSE YOU CAN ZIP THROUGH WITH ....EZPASS!!!!!

-worry about paying for insurance, because it's INCLUDED!

-worry about returning the car before the fucking rental car company closes, because they are ALL parked at 24-hour garage lots!

-buy itrip for your ipod or burn playlists to cd's because all cars come with xm radio! (lucy and fred are my favorite channels)

you do get to:
-drive with a silly "zipcar" sticker on your car.....but hey, you should be proud that you're smarter than those dumbasses that rent cars from rip off rental car places!

-go to target and buy AS MUCH AS YOU WANT because you don't have to take the train home!

-get a $50 credit if you email me for the referral

-rent for an hour or two so you can pick up your visitors from the airport -- cheaper than making them take a cab!!!!

-make runs to costco with your friends and save $$ on the bulk shit you can get

-test drive all kinds of cool cars to figure out which one you want when you're ready to buy. not that i ever wanted a scion, but i now know that i NEVER want to buy one. know that mazda 3's are a-okay. know that vw golf's are GREAT in the snow -- had no IDEA! know that honda element's are pretty darn c-o-o-l.

-laugh at all those dummies that have to wait in the toll lines because they're losers that don't have ezpass

(i rate it 4 because i think they should let you buy a package deal of extra miles. paying for miles makes it a little discouraging to drive really far. however, with everything else it provides you, it is STILL worth it.)
